Now offering 1:1 Yoga-Based Movement Therapy
Yoga is centred around the goal of being able to focus the mind on a chosen object/subject. Commonly with the demands of life, we can struggle with this ability to focus and find contentment in perhaps an over-stimulating world.
Yoga offers a guide to living well, one aspect being the practice of physical postures, dynamic movements and breath control- which in Aotearoa we may most often imagine what a yoga practice looks like.
My job as a teacher is to help you hold your practice space, initially learning ways to move and control your breath which suit your ability, and build on this in a sustainable manner. Eventually, I hope you develop the self-discipline, stability and discernment to hold yourself with regular practice at home or in studios, with confidence and ease.
For 1:1 tuition, I recommend:
1). A 10 minute call to discuss your needs, goals and current ability/understanding.
2). 1x in-person session (60 minutes), held at nu yoga studio $130
3). Weekly sessions (60 minutes) held via zoom $70 or in person at nu yoga $130
You will be given a practice to work on regularly at home in between sessions. You do not need to commit to any length of time receiving tuition. If you want to take time off supervised sessions, you can! And also feel free to return for one-off sessions at any point.
